Stuffed Jalapenos
1 (16 ounce) package spicy or hot pork sausage
30 jalapeno peppers
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 pounds turkey or pork bacon
Toothpicks
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat.
Lightly oil the grill.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned.
Drain excess grease, and set aside.
Meanwhile, slice the peppers in half lengthwise, and remove and discard the seeds and membrane.
Fill one half of each pepper with cream cheese, and the other half with sausage.
Put the pepper halves back together, and wrap with a slice of bacon to hold.
Secure bacon with a toothpick.
Grill peppers for about 15 minutes, turning to ensure even cooking until bacon is crisp,
and pepper is toasted.
Let them cool down a bit, then eat 'em.

Wrap water chestnuts with a half slice of bacon and secure each with a toothpick. Place in a baking pan and add bottled bbq sauce - I like Sweet Baby Rays - then bake until the bacon is done.

Unroll and seperate a container of crescent rolls. Slice each one lengthways and spread on onion and chive cream cheese. Then sprinkle on bacon bits and roll up from wide side - you should have 16 total. Bake according to pkg directions.
(I found this recipe on gowilkes once)

Speaking of green pepper jelly, where can you get that? Someone that used to work with my mom gave her some one time and that stuff is soooo good!

2 favs, both using Neufchatel cheese (I like the lower calory lower fat of this form of cream cheese and find no different in the taste over regular Philadelphia Cream Cheese.

Take 2 blocks (7 oz) and soften to near room temp so it is easy to work. Add 1/3 cup finely sliced or diced green olives with pimentos. Work well, chill, and serve with toasted bagel chips or on warmed bagels.

The second version incorporates 1/3 cup fresh or chopped, IQF strawberries. For extra color, add 1/2 tsp wild strawberry jello mix. Chill well and garnish with strawberries. (If you are lucky enough to have strawberry freezer jam then you can us this to make this recipe.)
